Bill Finger, as he is known to his friends, his law partners and most clients was born in Newark, New Jersey, on March 19, 1946. At an early age his parents moved to the New Jersey shore for a less formal lifestyle. This probably explains why Bill settled in Evergreen, Colorado. Mr. Finger is a graduate of Oberlin College, class of 1968. He attended and graduated from the Washington College of Law at American University in 1971 and was a recipient of a fellowship from Howard University that allowed him to practice labor law and civil rights in southern Florida representing migrant and seasonal farm workers.
In 1975 he moved to the State of Colorado. Prior to founding the law firm of Frank & Finger, P,C. with two other partners, he was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Colorado, working in the Regulatory Law Section of the Attorney General1 s Office. In addition to representing various boards and agencies, including the Real Estate Commission, the Public Utilities Commission and the Insurance Commissioner, Mr. Finger also served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
Since entering the private practice of law, he has represented numerous small and mid¬size businesses in Evergreen and various Colorado communities. He has developed an extensive practice in the field of employment law dealing with issues such as gender, age, race, national origin and disability discrimination and whistleblower retaliation claims. Mr. Finger has been recognized as one of the most knowledgeable attorneys in the state concerning the rights of public employees. He is also well versed on the rights of employees and employers in the private sector. Other areas of extensive practice by Mr. Finger are insurance law, insurance coverage questions, questions of bad faith practices by insurance companies and administrative law. Mr. Finger also practices in the area of personal injury, business formation and commercial representation and real property issues.
Mr. Finger is President of Frank & Finger, P.C. He holds a license in the State of Colorado and has previously been licensed by the District of Columbia and the State of Florida. He is a member of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado; Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals of the United States and has practiced in numerous other United States District Courts and United States Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Finger is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, First Judicial Bar Association and Colorado Bar Association.
